Marketing Associate

We are seeking a Marketing Associate to join our team on a part-time basis (10-20 hours in a week). The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, team player, skilled writer, and has prior experience in marketing. They thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and they are ready and excited to learn about new technologies and products.
Core duties
- Content Creation: Write high-quality, original content for website pages, blogs, video scripts, email campaigns, social media, case studies, and white papers.
- Strategy Support: Assist DG+ colleagues and senior staff in developing marketing strategies to build brands, grow awareness, and impact lead generation.
- Client Support: Communicate regularly with clients, internal project team members, and external parties. Participate in virtual meetings with clients and DG+ employees to discuss strategy, deliverables, deadlines, and other project-related activities.
- Reporting: Compile and analyze key data related to communications (website traffic, social media metrics, earned media mentions, trends, future opportunities).
- Work Environment: Maintain a clean, safe home office work environment.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, public relations, or a related field.
- 2+ years of work experience, with some direct experience in clean energy, climate tech, or sustainability.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of various types of content.
- A passion for (or strong interest in) sustainability and growing the clean energy economy.
- Professional attitude and ability to demonstrate the highest values and professionalism, such as through courteous and professional correspondence, following brand standards for both design and writing, and timely communication.
Preferred qualifications
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Asana, Google Analytics, and HubSpot.
- Understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices and experience using SEO tools, such as Semrush.
- Ability to track and analyze website and social media metrics using Google Analytics and other tools.
- Experience in social media platforms and social media management tools.
Compensation
Compensation for this position starts at $30/hour and is commensurate with experience.
